Obi Wan Fawn-obi. You're my only hope.
One of two things happend here:This week at school has been spirit week, and I have loved every minute of it! I wasn't all too into spirit week when I was in high school, but now (maybe because I can't really do it anymore) I'm crazy about it! It went like this:
Monday- Crazy Sock Day
Tuesday- Sports Day
Wednesday- School Shrit and Jeans Day
Thursday- Dress Up Like Your Favorite Character From A Book Day
Friday- Pajama Day
Monday I wore three different pairs of socks; some green and red ones, some blue ones with chicks on them, and some valentines ones (Thanks Mom!). The kids thought they were great!
Tuesday I wore some of TR's basktball shorts and an old SUU shirt I had (Thanks TR!)
Wednesday I wore my "Super Second Graders" shirt and jeans (Thank you Mrs. Beavers!)
Thursday (today) I wore my gold dress and cream gloves from Andrea's wedding, (Thank you Andrea and your mom), did my hair all cutesy (Thanks Sarah for the tips!).
I was Miss Elizabeth Bennet!It's official! Spring is finally here! I love it!! I love the days getting longer and WARMER!! Yippee!

The second sign of spring:DAFFODILS!Our little buddy Linus got hurt! He'd been hobbling around for about a week, not putting weight on his back left leg. Being the worrysome mommy that I am (and I don't even have human children yet!) I decided he needed to be seen by a vet as soon as possible when he didn't start walking on it a few days later. I made an appointment with the vet simply to make myself feel better. It was probably nothing. I got to the vet and she assured me that it was probably nothing a few pain killers and some time wouldn't heal, but she would like to take some x-rays to be positive. I was okay with that, since all I wanted was for Linus to be better. After about half an hour the vet came back in to look over the x-rays wit me. Linus' knee cap was nowhere near his knee! The vet said that a ligament or somthing had probably torn up in his thigh, and pulled the knee cap up with it. The only way to fix it would be for Linus to have a surgery and put pins in his leg to hold the knee cap down, which is an expensive surgery. If we couldn't afford it the "Humaine thing" would be to put him down. TR and I cried, and prayed, and planned, and worked it out so that we would be able to save our little buddy. The next morning we drove down to Payson and said goodbye to our little buddy until Saturday morning. We were greatly blessed by those in our family, and the vet's quick and steady hands. The operation took less time than was originally quoted to us, so it cost a considerable ammount less, and our family chipped in as much as they could, including prayers on our behalf, which was much more than we expected. We cried and laughed and rejoiced in their generosity. We picked up Linus on Saturday morning, and instead of post dating a check until our tax return came which we had originally planed, we paid for it in full and have no debts, and we also have a much better little buddy. He still looks kinda funny since they had to shave all of the fur off that one leg, but we're greatful he's doing better.
He can still keep up with the other dogs, and is usually faster than them, in spite of being a tri-pod for a little while.
And just when he was starting to grow his soul patch back from his first surgery...

A few weeks ago (gimmie a break- it's been a rough few weeks), as they days were getting warmer and the nights not so completely bitter, we had some friends over for a bonfire in our fire pit outside. Thanks to Nate and Jessica for the fire pit. I know it took a lot of work. This was the second of the two nights. The first night we invited out neighbors over to come play, and FORGOT THE CAMERA!! Too bad!!
Jon, Tasha, Sam, Andrea, and Dalan came over to make smores.
Dalan sure liked those marshmallows!

Since the time is short, and it's late, this is gonna be real quick, and instead of 5 things we've learned, we're only going to mention 2 things. But there's gonna be pictures. OOH!
1- A shampoo bottle is not the best storage device for hot grease. Because of the thin plastic (and the plastic itself) it melts.
2- Damp socks can not be quickly dried in the microwave. They burn...quite literally.
Even though we miss him we comfort in knowing that Mor-Far was recieved with welcome arms into the presence of our Heavenly Father this morning, on his 90th Birthday. We know that we'll see him again, and we rejoice in that knowledge. I was talking to a Catholic woman at school about him, and she said that she's always so torn up about death and funerals. I thought how wonderful it is that we have the light and knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and we know without a doubt that he is not gone forever, but for a short while, and we will meet him again. We do not mourn his passing, but celebrate his life, and look forward to the day when we are reunited again. We love you Mor-Far! God be with you 'till we meet again.
