Playing Fetch With Daddy

FINALLY! A warm day! It's been so cold the last few days, but all the rain has finally melted all the snow in our back yard. So while Mommy was at a Chiropractor appointment (Yes, I'm feeling much better, thanks for asking) Daddy played outside with the pupkins.

Linus is awesome at that fetch thing. He's getting really good. He loves it too. Just look at that smile on his face!

Mimi, once again, demonstrating her dominance.

Fawn tried to get the idea...

Look at those muscles! He's my Macho Man. Besides TR of course.
(Enlarge this picture for better viewing)

Linus bowled over Fawn a few times.

Mimi didn't care so much for the fetch part of it, she just liked to chase things. She didn't bring them back. It's nice to have these warm days to just playoutside a bit. I know they love it, and we love it too.

Queen Of The Yard

Mimi's new favorite place to show her dominance is on top of the barbeque. I don't know why, but she loves it up there. She'll climb up there and go around and around and around, and not come down until I tap on the window, and then she just thinks she's getting let in. Fawn just sits on the ground and watches her go around and around. Linus couldn't care less, he's having too much fun running around.

6 Months!

That's Right! TR and I have been married for a whole 6 months! When you think of the years we have ahead of us, 6 months seems so little a time, but when you think of what was going on last year (thanks a lot Sarah! Sheesh! Got me thinking with that tag, and you know how dangerous is it when the girls in our family start thinking!) 6 months is a long time! So I thought I would take a little trip down memory lane, and you're invited!

The Valentines Dance at the Provo City Library. This was shortly after we started dating, and soon after we knew we were supposed to get married.

We got engaged!!

We went down to Vegas to visit some of TR's family

We colored some eggs with Sarah's family for Easter

We went with Branson's class on a field trip to the Hansen Planetarium

We met Bishop Galuka (spelling is probably wrong)

We painted our new apartment

We got married! (I personally think this was the best part)

We went on a honeymoon.

We lived in our apartment.

We celebrated TR's Birthday

We went to the festival of trees with Branson, Allie, and Daniell

We did Lucia with my class...

And family.

We got Linus.

We celebrated Christmas

We moved.

And everything else that happened between the time we moved and the present has just recently been posted on the blog, so I won't go into that. My life is blessed. I'm so fortunate to have a husband like TR and I'm looking forward to the many years, and eternities we will be able to share together.

From everlasting to everlasting.

Happy Valentines Day!

So this Valentines day my husband totally spoiled me! I came home from school totally exausted and he let me take a nap while he fixed me dinner. I'm so so lucky!

We had a candel lit dinner

TR bought me a rose.
We went over to The Tanner's house before Valentines and Daniell "had to tell TR a secret" then she whispered in his ear that he needed to get me a flower for Valentines day.
I didn't say anything to her.

Our decorations were so cute!

TR made me Chicken and Mushroom Manacotti in Alfredo sauce. SO SO yummy! Then we danced in our dining room to a carefully selected playlist. After that, TR watched Funny Face with me cause I love it so much and it's quite romantic. We had such a good valentines day. I'm thankful to have such a wonderful husband who dotes on me so. He's the best!

Here's his recipie for that Manacotti:

Chicken and Mushroom Manicotti with Alfredo Sauce

1 8oz. box Manicotti

1 lb Chicken Breast Diced

8 oz Fresh Mushrooms Diced

2 tablespoons Butter

½ teaspoon Onion Powder

½ teaspoon Garlic Powder

½ teaspoon Paprika or White Pepper

1 16 oz tub Ricotta Cheese

¼ cup Parmesan Cheese

1 cup Alfredo Sauce

1 cup Mozzarella Cheese

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a large casserole dish. (I prefer butter)

In a large pan sauté the mushrooms and the chicken until the chicken is fully cooked. Mix in the spices. In a large bowl mix the Ricotta, Parmesan, and half of the Mozzarella cheese. Mix the chicken and mushroom mixture into the cheese mixture. Set aside. Prepare the Manicotti as directed on the package until it is al dente. Carefully stuff the manicotti with the chicken cheese and mushroom mixture and then place them side by side in the casserole dish. If you have any left over mixture, place it in the casserole dish between the manicotti. Bake for 15 minutes. Pour the Alfredo Sauce over the Manicotti, it should cover them. Bake for 10 minutes. Sprinkle the remainder of the mozzarella on top. Bake an additional 5 minutes.

We're just full of new things!

Fawn Came To Stay

We should start charging! Just kidding. Fawn has been at our house for about 2 weeks, and I must say that I've been loving every minute of it. Mimi and Linus are getting a little too big to sit on my lap like Fawn does. This isn't usually how we keep our dogs by the way.

Fawn is on top, Linus in the middle, and Mimi on the bottom. It's a literal dogpile!

Here's a point of reference for ya. TR is 6' 3".

5 Things I've Learned This Week

It's said we learn something new every day right? Well here are some of the things I've learned in the past week and thought I'd share.

1- A Cocomotion is not a good thing to use to heat up condensed chicken noodle soup.

2- You can have a HUGE vocabulary even if you don't read.

3- Sometimes the imagination can be a dangerous thing.

4- Even if you don't like something, you can learn to live with it for someone you love.

5- Dogs have just as much personality, likes, and dislikes as children do.

So there you have it. I'm glad to know these things, and I'm glad to always be growing and learning new things every day.
