Our Anniversary
So- it's been acouple of weeks, but between school and work and labor day, and everything else that's been going on around here I just haven't had time to blog at all. So here's the Anniversary blog.
We went on a wonderful drive up the canyon.
It was windy, but still lovely.
And as is tradition, we had to have the cake top.
It wasn't really all that good...(some of you will be happy to know I didn't shove any in his face this time.)
It ended up going the way of all not so great cakes.
On monday I got to get all dolled up.Tuesday, September 02, 2008

Once Upon A Year Ago...

TR and I were married in this very same temple, in the very same room that Johnny and Lindsy were sealed in. It was so neat to be able to go and hear the same words that were spoken to us as we took this very important step in our lives in the very same place when we heard them first almost exactly a year ago! I can't believe a year has gone by so fast! So much has happened in our lives and I'm proud to say I still love 'im, we're still blissfully married, and will be for a very long time to come.

They Did It!

My cousin Johnny Eklof married the Beautiful Lindsy Anderson today in the Mount Timpanogos temple! The wedding was beautiful, the bride was beautiful, the words were beautiful, the groom was....Well...Johnny. It was lovely. As always, TR took pictures. He said that he got a lot of good candid ones of Lindsy, but not very many of Johnny cause he never slows down long enough for the camera to click, which...if you know Johnny at all, you'll understand what he means.
Congratulations!!

It Happened...
We lost a member of our family. Well, not really LOST per se. Fawnling went to stay...no...LIVE at Sam and Andrea's house. Since they got a new house, and have no kids or pets, and Fawn needs to just be an only child and pet, it was a perfect arangement! I thought it would be hard to tell her goodbye and I'd miss her a lot, but to be perfectly honest...I don't feel remorse or anything! I'm glad I still get to see her and everything, but it's nice to know she's in a home where she'll get the attention she needs and both Sam and Andrea like her a lot. It was WIN WIN!

Happy Birthday Jen!!

Happy Birthday to Jen! To honor Jen on her birthday, and cause Sarah is there in Arizona with her, Daniell, Allie, Branson, and I went to get ice cream! Well, at least we tried to get ice cream. We just went to the local McDonalds and they were OUT!! How horrible is that? So we got milkshakes instead. C'est La Vi I suppose. However, when we got home, Branson mowed the lawn as if we were gonna have a party for you, Jen, and the girls threw a couple of pool parties for their polly pockets in your honor! Happy Birthday! It was almost like we were at your house Daniell said. :)

I also added this cool thing, cause I couldn't remember the song this morning. :)
Be careful with your cake. Wouldn't want you to get any on your face!

I'd Like To Thank The Academy...

Believe it or not, I actually won something! Okay, so it was given to me by a friend, but it doesn't change the fact that I won!
This little award was given to me by my best friend Casi (www.mama2nile.blogspot.com)! I love reading about her little family and what they like to do. Nile is growing up so fast and it's fun to sort of be a part of that. ^_^
So, there are rules to this award.
1. Post the logo on your blog.
2. Add a link to the person who nominated you.
3. Nominate 7 (or however many you want really) other people for this award and add links to their blog.
4. Leave a message for the people that you nominated!
First Nomination goes to:
JESSICA!! (www.themathewsfour.blogspot.com) She's so inspiring when it comes to blogging. She always has the best pictures and I love her ideas (wordless wednesday, toddler talk tuesday, Etc.). I love to see what she and the girls are up to.
Second goes to:
JEN!! (www.arizonafamily8.blogspot.com) Even though they live in Arizona, I still feel like I'm a part of their lives cause I get to see the going ons and Adventures in Arizona. I love to feel like I'm right there experiencing the things they are.
Third goes to:
SARAH!! (www.tannerfamily6.blogspot.com) She keeps me motivated with blogging. Even though I see her and her family more often than I see Jen or Tim or pretty much anyone else, it's still fun to see the things I missed out on.

Breaking Dawn Release
So tonight, at midnight, the last book in the Twilight series comes out. The last one from Bella's point of view that is. Yes, I'm the good little fan that goes to the bookstore and reserves her copy (and a copy for her dear sister), and attends the party the night of for the fun of it, but this morning TR's older brother Calvin (who we are going to the party with tonight) called and said "HEY! If you want to come stand in line with me for your wristband you can." I'm thinking Wristband?! LINE?! So then I figure what the heck? TR has to work over there anyway, and it's not like I'm doing anything else today but reading The Host, why not? On our way, TR and I glanced at the line. From the parkway it looked like it went to the side of the building and that was it. No biggie. I dropped TR off at work, parked the car and went to find Calvin. I walked to what I thought was the end of the line...and kept walking...down the side of the building. Thinking it couldn't go around the back, I called Calvin to see where he was. Keep in mind this was 9:45 in the morning. They didn't even start handing out wristbands until 9. Calvin didn't answer so I figured I'd just go to the end of the line only to find out it did in fact loop around to the back of the building! AND around the corner to the side of the building NEXT to the Barnes and Noble building! It was crazy!
See that guy with his arms in the air? That's Calvin. That's where we were on the back side of the building (you can kinda see the corner to the left)Those three girls behind us were crazy, but funny too.
This was the line behind us.
An hour and half later, I got my wristband. My efforts were rewarded with a banana slurpee! YAY!!! I'm looking forward to the party tonight, it should be fun. Calvin and I have decided that Team Grimm (Me, Calvin, TR, and Whitney) is going to win the trivia game...we'll see. There are some pretty crazy fans out there. ;)
