I'm going to tell you a little story about my incredible shrinking dog. Her name is Mimi, and when she gets wet she shrinks!
The other day Mimi and her baby brother Linus went outside for a potty break. They were very anxious to get out of the room they had been in for most of the day they sat right down at the door the first time they were told. The sun had been shining all day long and as a result some of the snow had melted leaving the ground wet and muddy. When Mimi came back inside her paws were all muddy! So Mommy (that's me) decided that Mimi needed a bath. Daddy (that's TR) wiped up the kitchen floor while mommy got the water running at just the right temperature.
Mimi was all fluffy, though a little matted since she hasn't been brushed in about two weeks.
As soon as the water hit her though she shrunk to almost half her normal size! She became about as thin as a greyhound!
Obviously this isn't the first time we've done it, but every time it surprises me how little she really is. Lucky for me, Mimi doesn't mind taking a bath and was really a good sport. I'm sure it didn't help that both mommy and daddy were paying more attention to her than we were to Linus. And she was getting LOTS of back scratches and behind her ears rubbed, which is her favorite.
After she was all dry daddy brushed her and now she's as soft and fluffy as ever!

He had a surgery and we've had to wait two weeks before we could bathe him and he sure smells like a dog! You better believe that a week from today I'm going to come straight home from picking daddy up and we're gonna start that water running!
